CELEBRATING WOMEN IN STEM
 CONFERENCE AND CAREERS
EVENT 2024

Friday 08th March 2024 - International Women's Day - University of Nottingham

The Women in Chemistry Group are excited to bring you the 6th annual 'Celebrating Women in STEM Conference and Careers Event'. We are delighted to welcome you back to an in-person event at the University of Nottingham, hosted in the Carbon Neutral Laboratory on Jubilee Campus. The conference will bring together both delegates and inspiring role models from within the chemistry community to celebrate International Women's Day and showcase the contributions women have made to chemistry.

Along with our inspirational speakers, providing insights into their research and personal career paths, we also have a variety of stalls from local industries, providing a great chance to discuss perspectives of equality and diversity within STEM, as well as network for future career opportunities.

  • Opportunities for young researchers of all genders to present posters in our poster competition.

  • 'Imposter's Syndrome' workshop delivered by Kirstin Barnard and Lucie Whitfield - Career advisors within the Careers and Employability Service

  • Networking with various companies to find out more information about career opportunities.

  • Q&A panel session.

  • Opportunities for discussion and networking with fellow delegates.

We invite scientists of all genders and backgrounds to celebrate International Women's Day with us!
